Whether it's the piano part of your favourite song, the theme music of a film, or a piece of classical music, we'll work out what excites you and set a path to achieve your goals. My priority is helping you learn the music you truly love - because when you’re inspired, progress comes naturally.

Everyone learns differently and at their own pace. I’ll help you pinpoint what’s holding you back - whether it’s technique, theory, or nerves - and tackle it head-on, so you can progress with confidence.
You'll understand the music:
Music is a magical thing, and learning to play it is enriching and fulfilling, but understanding its inner workings will enhance your musical skills further. What is the function of the melody? Why does this chord feel warm? How does the lowest note feel when it's an octave higher?

I teach within the highgate area of London, as well as further afield. I'm only able to teach at students' homes at this point.

Fundamentals - posture, hand position, finger strength, and coordination
Technique – scales, arpeggios, exercises for speed and control
Reading Music – understanding notation and improving sight-reading
Music Theory – understanding chords, harmony, key signatures, and more
Ear Training – recognising intervals, chords, and melodies by ear

Composition – creating your own music and exploring how we can evoke emotions with sound
Improvisation - composing on the fly by understanding how to make musical choices
Playing with Expression – dynamics, phrasing, and storytelling through music
Performance Skills – overcoming nerves, stage presence, and playing confidently

Do you teach grades?
Yes! I can teach ABRSM grades 1 - 5 piano performance, as well as music theory.
Do you do online lessons?
Yes! I use Google Meet to host the video calls.
